Lenskart Launches “B by Lenskart,” India’s AI-Powered Smart Glasses

Lenskart is preparing to debut its next-generation wearable: B by Lenskart, a pair of AI-driven smart glasses built in India. The company has opened its smart glasses platform for Indian developers, signalling a major push to create a full-stack wearables ecosystem.

Internally, the project has been designed to work with apps across a variety of domains

food delivery, entertainment, fitness, and navigation by giving third-party developers access to its AI and camera tech for seamless integrations. On the hardware front, B by Lenskart is expected to launch by December 2025 and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset. The device is reported to weigh only around 40 grams, making it lighter than many similar smart glasses on the market. The glasses will feature a Sony camera for hands-free photo and video capture. Notably, they’ll have a built-in AI assistant, powered by Google’s Gemini 2.5 Live, which enables voice commands, real-time translation, wellness feedback, and more.

In a big move, Lenskart is integrating UPI payments into the glasses. Users can scan QR codes and make payments via voice commands, without needing to use their phones.

Strategically, this marks Lenskart’s shift from being just a D2C eyewear brand to becoming a vision-tech company. The company is leveraging its strong retail network, data capabilities, and investments in XR and AI startups (for example, Ajna Lens) to scale this wearable tech play

B by Lenskart is being marketed not just as a gadget, but as a platform, one that could usher in a new era of “smart eyewear made in India, for the world.”
